This site is for owners, prospective owners and past owners or anyone with an interest in Cheverton yachts.

The site describes the origins of the main designs, the different marks of the CARAVEL and the CRUSADER. It has detailed histories of the classic DANEGELD and her sisters as well as other sailing craft from the board of David Cheverton built by Chevertons and other yards.
Classic boat published this article on David Cheverton in May 2013.
David Cheverton had his own yard on the Isle of Wight, where he still lives.
The largest sailing boat design was Chevalier, a 50-foot cutter built by Wing on Shing, last heard of in Miami.
David Cheverton also designed and built a number of other yachts, including the Cavalier, Campaigner and Quiver amongst others, and many small launches and fishing boats.
The information on this site has come from various sources. I would like to thank all the owners that have contributed and a special thanks to Patrick Methold who was employed by the company from April 1958.
"He has given an enormous amount time and experience to the task of collecting and collating everything about the business of which he was such a vital part." DC.
