We had Carella until 1968 (at Portchester Sailing Club), but a growing family meant a larger boat was required, and my parents had a Hillyard built for them.
Carella was then renamed Nacy Kelly by the new owners (the Ludgates). They remained friends with us, and for several years we sailed in company with each other.
Interestingly, despite two or three changes in ownership, Nancy Kelly remained at Portchester Sailing Club right up until around 2005, when I believe she moved East somewhere, and I've not seen nor heard of her since.

Current Condition
Very good condition following significant structural repairs during 2012, including new foredeck and new forward coach roof coaming. Keelbolts withdrawn 2yrs ago and found to be in sound condition. Currently undergoing a full season of TLC and not on the water.
Brief History
Following her commissioning in 1965 Nancy Kelly had 5 separate owners who all kept her at Portchester Yacht Club. She was cruised comprehensively in the Solent and the English Channel making several Channel crossings. She was maintained to a very high standard throughout this time . I bought her in 2008 and have sailed her in the river Wyre and Morecambe Bay area with one trip to the Isle of Man in 2013. She attracts a great deal of admiration where ever she moors. I must be soft in the head the amount of time I give her but then I was a professional wooden boat builder for 20 yrs and she is my passion.
